The Itinerary

Day 1 - Sunday: August 10th

Arrival in Vancouver
​Welcome to Canada. Upon your arrival in Vancouver, a guide will greet you and facilitate your transfer to the Holiday Inn. An optional city tour is scheduled for midday.  

Day 2 - Monday: August 11th

Voyage to Tofino and Pacific Rim
​Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a boat trip to Vancouver Island. As you arrive in Nanaimo, you'll begin your drive to Tofino, making a delightful stop at Cathedral Grove to marvel at the ancient cedars and Douglas firs. A delicious lunch will be served whilst on route. Upon reaching Tofino, guests will check into the Princess Lodge. This serene retreat is located adjacent to the illustrious Marine National Park. Guests may partake in an evening stroll along the bay before dinner.

Day 3 - Tuesday: August 12th

Marine Excursion : Whales and Sea Lions
Today, guests will enjoy a marine expedition within the famed Pacific Rim, known for its dramatic oceanic landscapes and diverse marine wildlife. Encounter majestic sea creatures such as cetaceans, orcas, and sea lions in their natural habitat. Your guided ocean tour on a swift inflatable boat offers a privileged view of the Broken Group Islands. In the afternoon, a tranquil boat trip to Meares Island provides an opportunity to stroll amidst towering ancient trees. The day concludes with dinner back at your lodge.

Day 4 - Wednesday: August 13th

Wildlife Encounter at Telegraph Cove
Begin your day with an eastward journey, arriving in the afternoon at Telegraph Cove for a celebrated wildlife-watching excursion. Set in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, this area is a sanctuary for Canadian wildlife, home to a stunning array of species. Spot grizzly and black bears, grey wolves, bald eagles, and marine life such as orcas, dolphins, and sea lions. The highlight of the tour is the breathtaking sight of majestic killer whales in their natural habitat. Afterward, relax and unwind with a two-night stay in a beautifully restored fishing cabin, immersing yourself in the tranquil surroundings.

Day 5 - Thursday: August 14th

Grizzlies & The Great Bear Rainforest​
After breakfast, those joining the excursion will head to Knight Inlet to witness the grizzly bears in their natural habitat. This thrilling adventure offers opportunities to spot not only grizzlies but also diverse wildlife, including whales, gray wolves, bald eagles, elk, and moose. The Great Bear Rainforest, praised by National Geographic and recognized for its natural beauty, is also home to abundant marine life like otters, orcas, dolphins, and sea lions. Guests will end the day at the lodge to relax and reflect on the day's unforgettable experiences.

Day 6 - Friday: August 15th

Return to Vancouver and Afternoon City Tour​
​Guests will start the day with breakfast before departing Telegraph Cove for Nanaimo, where you’ll board the ferry back to Vancouver. Upon arrival, you will embark on a three-hour guided tour of Vancouver, exploring highlights such as Stanley Park, Granville Island, and historic Gastown. This will be your opportunity to take in the city’s unique blend of natural beauty and urban charm. After the tour, you’ll have time to return to your hotel and prepare for Shabbat. The day will culminate with a group Shabbat dinner in the evening. All Shabbat services and meals will be accessible within a short walk from the hotel.

Day 7 - Saturday: August 16th

Shabbat in Vancouver​
With a variety of synagogues in close proximity to the hotel, there will be options available for all levels of observances. A full Shabbat lunch and Seudat Shlishit will be provided, ensuring a day of spiritual fulfillment and communal engagement. Enjoy the peaceful reprieve and the opportunity for reflection and rest. Evening accommodations will remain at your hotel, with all activities and meals located within a short walking distance.

Day 8 - Sunday: August 17th

Departure Day or Optional Whistler Excursion​​
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before deciding how to spend your final day. For those departing today, take in a last glimpse of Vancouver before transferring to the airport for your journey home. Alternatively, choose an optional excursion to Whistler, traveling along the breathtaking Sea-to-Sky Highway. Upon arrival, explore Whistler’s year-round attractions, including the iconic Peak-to-Peak Gondola that connects the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Return to Vancouver in the evening, with time for final preparations for departure the following day.
